Kali (Sanskrit for “black”, “time”) — is a female destructive aspect of Shiva. Kali destroys the ignorance and maintains the universal order. She is usually depicted with black skin, her tongue lolling out, wearing sculls and snakes. Kali is especially worshiped in Bengal.
