Upanishads

Upanishads (Sanskrit for “sitting down near”, means “sitting near a teacher to receive instruction”) – are sacred Hindu scriptures that are referred to as the end of the Vedas (Vedanta). These are philosophical texts devoted to the nature of God, Truth and meditations. The texts were being composed for quite a long period of time: the main corpus of texts was created ca. VII-III centuries BC, whereas the rest continued to appear till XIV-XV centuries.
